Art therapy is a powerful form of non-verbal communication that provides a mirror to what’s happening on the inside. It can include collage, painting, mask-making, clay work and more. You do not need any experience in art. In this case, less (experience) might actually be an advantage. The focus is on the process and the meaning for you, not the product.

DBT is a combination of mindfulness and cognitive behavioural therapy.  It helps people to name and create space for their emotions while, at the same time, learn skills to manage distress and develop interpersonal effectiveness.

EMDR is a method that facilitates the reprocessing of traumatic memories. Scientific research has established EMDR as being effective for treating post-traumatic stress, phobias, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, and sexual/physical abuse. There may be other areas in which EMDR is effective, as well.

Hakomi is a way of a therapist being with someone that supports their healing and self-discovery. It comes from a Hopi Indian word meaning "who you are". In mindfulness (both client & therapist), you are able to become aware of thoughts, emotions, images, body and/or sensations that inform the way you organize your world and yourself. In so doing, you have access to information previously unavailable to you at the conscious level. Consider what it’s like to talk about the experience of eating an apple or actually eating the apple—that’s Hakomi.

Meditation/mindfulness trains the mind to focus on present experience, allowing you to be present in life rather than absent. People have reported that mindfulness helps them to reduce stress, have improved concentration, improved relationships, better sleep, more peace, and many more life improvements.

Narrative therapy separates the person from the problem and allows creation of a personal narrative  to understand one's issues and themselves.

Solution-focussed therapy uses an approach that focuses on your own resources, your past and current successes, and helps you set achievable goals.

You can't do everything, but you can do something.
